Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

it is a nice area (gamla stan) which is worth a visit. There are several inner courtyards that can be visited as there is a on open access. This give a picturesque view on how Sweden looked like in more places.

This is a wonderful old town of wooden buildings. It is a real and active town. It struck me as a wonderfully close community as I watched the promenade to the studentbal and graduation celebrations.

You can take Metro or walk from Stockholm City island to Gamla Stan Island over a connecting bridge. This little island has cobblestone streets. The best selection of restaurants, cafe and Bars are on this island. This is the mail tourist attraction when in Stockholm, the city made up of islands. One can walk for hours and get lost in time. I highly recommend a visit to Gamla Stan when in Stockholm.

The old part consists of a large number of wooden two stories houses from the 19C in good shape. They have not been ravaged by fire (as opposed to the part on the other side of the church). It is delightful to explore the area not least because of local business such as the café-bakeries (konditori in Swedish) which are well supplied.
Another reason for our visit here is that my great grandfather lived in one of the houses.

You find a lot of old log buildings from the 16-hundreds and other more recent wooden buildings where there are restaurants, hotels and shops today

They name themselves as unique wood city and definately this is such. Nice, tiny and plenty of shops located in the center of Eksjö.

The old town is very small yet very impressive in their conservation. A brochure with the explanation of many buildings helped out a lot. Further ample opportunity for shopping.

Fine old wooden houses. Went back to this city where I worked at the hospital some 30 years ago. I even sold tickets in the little old Cinema in the evenings. So I knew this pitoresque old place - it is absolutely worth a visit

A very beautiful place with small and narrow cobble stone streets and hidden allies. A nice view is around every corner and almost every angle makes a nice photography. Alot of history can be felt walking these streets and the amazing "old wooden town" is particularly worth visiting. The only downside is the lack of restaurants serving traditional swedish food and too many serving Asian buffés.
