Plenty of hides to see wetland birds. Nice and quiet in winter months with plenty to see. Also plenty of other birds to see with a small RSPB centre to use.

We travelled here from Cambridge and found the roads difficult. Fen roads are narrow and liable to subsidence - the roads leading to the reserve need to be travelled slowly and carefully. Gouge-marks at some points indicated where vehicles had scraped their undercarriages. Unfortunately we...More

The Ouse Washes is a very nice location and you can have a very pleasant walk and see lots of wildlife. However at the RSPB Information site they are feeding the wild birds and the excess food is attracting a large number of RATS. At...More

Decided to get out into the fresh air, during Christmas and New Year, so took a short drive to the Ouse Washes, absolutely amazing, a perfect way to spend a few hours looking at the wildlife, can't believe I have never been here before.

In all my years of living in Cambridge this is my first visit here, we just put the postcode into the satnav and were transported to this ancient land. It is so peaceful and the revelatory Fen skies overlord the dykes and rushes. We did...More

This area has a special magic whatever time of year one visits. Driving along the road to the site needs care as the road is bumpy and undulating. Visitor's centre has some useful information about the reserve and RSPB. Hides also have information about the...More
