We took three tours booked with Ophorus last month. We´ve been in Domme, La Roque Gageac, Beynac, Rocamadour, Pech Merle Cave and Saint Cirque Lapopie ( my favorite). Our guide, Benoît, was kind, frendly and professional. We realy enjoyed the tours and we had a great time there. Congratulations

We had booked private tours of the Dordogne for four of us for three consecutive days. Our guide, Florence, was a delightful young lady with extensive knowledge of the area and its history and did not disappoint with our tours of the prehistoric sites, villages and chateaux of the area. Florence was an able chauffeur through the narrow, winding roads... More

Florence made this tour memorable because she was very knowledgeable. We saw two prehistoric sites. The museum came at the end of the tour and Florence took us through the museum. She provided excellent background to the exhibits. I would have liked some free time in the museum. I would go back to the museum.

Marion was our terrific guide for two days touring the villages of the Dordogne and the Cro-Magnon caves. She is truly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the region and its history and many charms. She got us to an out of the way spot on the river for a country lunch and gave us time to explore on our own.

This was an excellent tour - a very knowledgeable & charming guide , an excellent walk around Sarlat followed by a tour of the countryside , a lovely boat ride on the Dordogne River , lunch at a restaurant high up in the hills , a visit to the National Museum of Prehistory , followed by a trip to Lascaux... Our guide, Marion, was able to explain all of the details of the Pech Merle cave to our small group of six. Her in-depth knowledge and passion for the cave made the tour so much more enjoyable. It was so nice to go from Sarlat to the Pech Merle cave, about an hour away, in a comfortable van while Marion... More

We took the half day tour to the beautiful villages of Domme, Roque Gageac and Beynac with Marian. Marian is a fabulous guide - informative, entertaining and charming. From Roque Gageac we took a Gabarre (traditional barge) for an hour long cruise up the beautiful Dordogne admiring the stunning castles. At Beynac, Marian drove us to the castle at the... More

Our guides for the Sarlat region were excellent! They were knowledgeable, articulate and clearly "passionated" about their subjects. We went to the archaeological museum and the Lascaux cave areas. The walking tour of Sarlat by Benoit was fascinating. He has great anecdotes and noteworthy point of view. Both guides spoke excellent English and took time to see to guests inquiries.... More

We had Ophorus pick us up at the Bordeaux Airport. After a long flight from the US, it was a comfortable and relaxing 2 hour drive to charming Sarlat-la-Canéda where we based ourselves for 4.5 days. We took the Dordogne Valley Full Day Tour and Rocamoudar Half Day Tour. Both tours were fabulous. The local guides provided an excellent overview... More
