I was so impressed by the ramparts. Beautifully planted with winter pansies,so clean and a wonderful place for a stroll. Restored lavoir and gateway into the old town or pathway leading to the port.

Lovely walk with clear views of the ramparts behind very well kept gardens. You can walk on some sections from the inside and view the gardens from above. Lots of nooks and crannies to explore inside with the old centre of Vannes just a short...More

it's a lovely walk through the gardens next to the historical ramparts ,some date back to 300AD from Roman times. If you ask for a map from TI it contains some walks and points out the places of interest. Worth visiting

So much history over a long period of time, so well maintained and still vibrant.Take the Little Train for an excellent tour and some history.

The old town in Vannes is well worth a visit, the ramparts and gardens are very impressive and the medieval part of the town is awesome! It’s all really clean and very few ‘tacky’ touristy shops!

Beautiful, well worth walking through and pretty much a ‘must do’ as probably central to everything Vannes!

I took the whole family, and everyone enjoyed the Ramparts and the gardens. Beautiful to walk around, lovely floral work, and in good weather this is a fabulous place to spend time.

There was a Literary Festival in Vannes when we visited and only the delegates of the festival were allowed to access the gardens. It was a huge disappointment as we were looking forward to seeing the Ramparts and walking around the gardens. As we approached...More

Tbe Ramparts are quite a nice feature in Vannes. The view of the gardens is particularly nice. I wish that the tower and more of the ramparts were open to the public. The do appear to be working on them, so maybe in future?

Nice gardens and walk around the cherry blossom lined park. Great place for the kids to run around. There is a small park at one end. There's a little river that runs through too.
