Great stadium shame about the gendarmes
The stadium is great, site lines are fab, toilets were fine, food was adequate. However, foreign visitors should note the ‘billets’ sold in Paris do not work on the RER to get there, and a ticket inspector was making a fortune for the Paris authorities charging E35 per confused tourist. So buy the right ticket. Also the route from the Stade to RER B was narrowed to a pinch pojnt by the gendarmes, causing over crowding, long delays and a sense of unease. I don’t know if there was something going in or they do that after every event, but I would choose a different route home next time.

    Twickenham is much better managed.
Opening Match of the World Cup Rugby. Unfortunately the catering isn't very smooth. Signs explained 25 renowned French chefs worked together on the food design. They came up with hot dogs and ham&cheese baguettes.... Stood in line for 45 minutes for two bottles of water. Beer sold out half way through the match. Twickenham still sets the world standard.

Rugby World Cup France v New Zealand
The adventure started in getting to the Stade. The RER trains are not coordinated with the display panels so BEWARE. if you get on an express RER you are going to the airport or Aulney sous Bois. Around the Stadium the bars were practicing price gouging on the beer and food. A pint of low grade beer 12 euros!! same for the food high prices low quality. I won't even try to discribe the official outlets for teeshirts and hats! The entry to the stadium was about 20 min late in opening. Once opened the queue went through quickly. Plenty of stewards to help you find your place. The stadium is impressive. The seats are to small to sit on comfortably. The match was great.

    Great National Stadium
Huge open air venue perfect for sports, concerts, etc.. Situated in St Denis, best to come here via metro or the RER as parking is so-so in the area. Came for rugby league final and getting into the stadium was relatively simple. Concessions could do a better job with setup as these tend to clog the walking areas/paths inside the stadium. Otherwise, not a bad seat in the stadium. You're a part of the action no matter where you sit and it's pretty fan-friendly overall.

Great views but facilities not great
Great stadium with good views. Beware if you are high up as the steps are straight up and some people found it a challenge. The loos are not great. The food offering is poor so eat before you go - on the menu it says 23 chefs worked on the menu and then it is basically a couple of baguettes and crisps or popcorn! Only one type of beer on sale and no wine. Probably better to stay outside the stadium for more choice.

    Good stadium
Great stadium, lots of facilities so no massive queues for the bathrooms which was nice. Food on offer is the standard you’d expect in any big stadium, hotdogs etc. The only alcoholic drink available inside was beer which was disappointing. Accessing the stadium was easy, no delays at the turnstiles.

    Our RU World Cup holiday
Attended the recent RU World Cup quarter final matches at the Stade de France. The journey to the stadium from our accommodation was insane and not likely to be forgotten in a hurry but once we arrived.. What an impressive stadium and what an atmosphere inside, especially during the France v SA game!! Entry to, and exit from, the stadium was the easiest I’ve encountered for many years, no repeat of any of the crowd problems at recents football matches. The view inside the stadium is second to none wherever you sit and the facilities more than adequate. All in all, one of the best stadiums I’ve been in.

    Great atmosphere but poor facilities.
The peak stadium in Paris is disappointing as an experience. Entry and exit was straightforward but the facilities are well below par for a stadium of this size. Poor selection of very average food (this is France after all!) which ran out before half time. Drinks limited to one brand of beer only & no wine. Inadequate toilet facilities for the number of people. Great atmosphere when full but only go for the match & eat outside beforehand.

No umbrellas water bottles and much more.
Here for the Rugby World Cup. View from my seat was excellent, easy to get to and no problem getting back. Be aware there is a huge list of items you cannot take in, including fold up umbrellas when it is chucking it down.

2023 RWC stage: An iconic venue
We attended the 2023 Rugby World Cup semi-finals and final. We watched 4 games ! Each was an experience extraordinaire. A true privilege to share nail biting games with 80 000 enthusiastic rugby supporters from all over the world. Stade de France is an iconic stadium and the perfect stage for a RWC. Thank you France for organizing an amazing World Cup. Congratulations Springboks for winning the RWC for the 4th time!

This stadium is well pass it’s use by date. It has poor facilities, offer very little in the way of food and beverages . When you move away from your seats you can’t keep up with the game. Only two large screens at either end of the ground. There are also too many steps. Atmosphere is great but the facilities spoil the experience. Did not enjoy watching the RWC at this stadium.
