There's also a very small cemetery just out the back door. Services are still performed here, and this was closed for part of the day for a private ceremony. The interior is beautiful with lots of medieval touches.

Lovely little chapel on your way up to the top. If you come early you'll be able to avoid the crowds and have the entire chapel to yourself. Lovely and peaceful.

At Mont St Michel there are many novel (important) site to see. This is surely one. This is one of the sites that would have been seen on the pilgrim"s path. It is surely worth the effort.

The church is small, but very nice and intimate, with a rough stone façade and small windows. It is dedicated to Saint Aubert, the bishop of Avranches, who was (according to the legend) instructed by the Archangel Michael in 708 to build a church here....More

This ages old chapel is a bit out of the path of the usual flow of foot traffic on Mont St. Michel, so it's often overlooked. Those walking the sand flats at low tide most often come upon it. Rather plainly adorned but with murals...More

Gotta kick off the shoes and make the round during low tide. Definitely charming site and interesting story/history to go along with. Great pics to be had dying the evening golden hour. Not open while we were there, but so what.
