We were surprised at the beautiful scenery. Nice to visit on the off season. We traded the ability to swim for the lack of tourists

Entrance to the beach (Plage de l'Est) was less than 5 euros for parking. It a 4km long trail. The gentleman at the gate was very helpful explaining the other drive (Route de Cacharel) that we could do as well. We opted to park 1 km further and walk and enjoy the scenery and beach. The beach on the west... More

A walk along the beach (reached at the east end) is a sheer delight. Beautiful ocean on one side and marshes on the other. Many horse paths and riders along the way. Nice shore bird watching. Can drive out pretty far before beginning your walk. Or you can rent a bicycle and pedal along. Just lovely.

The Beach is large and Long. There are everywhere parts where you can have your peace. BUt it`s quite touristic.

Extensive beach from the little to great Rhone mouths, lots of parking tho the east end is easier. Easy access to the town, restaurants, hotels or horse rides.

The beaches here are beautifully sandy, shelving gently into the protected swimming areas. There are some windbreaks but it can be exposed to the sea breezes. Plenty of parking and a large election of restaurants in town.

Good swimming here, but the town is a tourist resort with little local influence remaining. Fine if you like a beach holiday with no local atmosphere.

When visiting the southwest of France, don't miss a stop at this beautiful beach-side town. The beach itself is lovely, white and well-protected. The sand is soft and clean and there's a nice boardwalk that runs the distance of the beach with plenty of trash cans. If you don't want to eat in one of the waterfront restaurants, a quick... More

Very nice beach, we suffered mistral winds and that blows you away. There is an undercurrent, be aware of that.

Not bad for a Mediterranean beach. Long stretches of well maintained and surprisingly clean sand beaches. Fun with little kids, I'm sure. Depends on what day you show up it can be a small number of people, or it can be packed. During the week we found plenty of free parking nearby, on a Sunday we had to walk for... More
