Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Awesome constelations of water running through the rocks, super fun times you can have there.
But sadly you really have to watch out because there are a lot of places in yhich you could get hurt. But still awesome also for smaller children.

This tranquil river walk along the Valserine is a hidden gem. Located only about 40 mins drive away from Geneva, in the quiet town of Bellegarde. The trail starts at the car park located at the start of Rue Louis Dumont, just after you pass under the rail viaduct. After a short scramble down to the banks of the Valserine below, the well-marked trail meanders along the banks of the chuckling river, sometimes climbing up to avoid obstancles, sometimes crossing over on a pedestrian bridge - but always presenting new vistas at every bend. Parts of the walk are shaded by lovely foliage, while others are a little more exposed. At certain points, you get to admire the eroded sediment layers arching above your heads, and at another point, the walk is literally suspended from the river banks on a walkway. At the Passerelle de metral, the path peters out for a short stretch but restarts past the barrage/waterfall, and leads you to the Pertes de la Valserine (which is a stretch where the river vanishes below your feet into sinkholes). There are multiple other entry points to the walk, and you could continue onwards but sadly, we called it a day at this point (30 mins brisk walk, probably 50 minutes after stopping to take numerous photographs). A hidden gem of riverine delight; don't miss this if you are in the area.
