We visited the center with a group and had a one hour lesson to play the Bodhràn drum and learned about the traditional music of Sligo. It was very inspiring and fun! Our teacher also played for us the bones; he is a world champion!!...More

I'd highly recommend this Academy as the best summer school for those wishing to excel. All levels are catered for and Junior and his wife Jelca will make sure that you feel at home.

What a wonderful resource for traditional musicians! We had a lovely visit to the centre, which was informative, inspiring, and had a great collection of gems from Michael Coleman.

We called in here as we are music fans. The staff were very welcoming and the 10 minute video was interesting as was the exhibition upstairs. They even made us a coffee at the end. There is a good selection of CDs to choose from...More
