Well worth the visit
Apr 2021 • Solo
Loved it. I booked an individual Wombat experience as well as I wanted to touch a wombat (Im from Qld, none in my area). The staff were polite, knew lots about their animals and you could see that they genuinely care for the animals. The walking tracks are sound and good for prams, wheelchairs or people with decreased mobility (might not make it uphill to look at the Wedgetail eagles though). Loved the range of animals, birds and reptiles.
Plenty of parking, onsite Cafe.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly, they all managed to make our visit very enjoyable. The food was very delicious and the wait for our meal was very short. A great place to take the family for a fun day out!

Friendly, family run wildlife park
Jan 2021
We loved this wild life park. It is family run and everyone was friendly and helpful. The he animals were varied - Australian and others. There was a lot of information about each animal and you could have interactions with many. We stayed for a picnic lunch. There were good facilities for this. Overall a great place to visit.

Disappointing presentation
Jan 2021 • Couples
Disappointing presentation all round with unhelpful entry staff, poor signage from entry point and organisational flow of exhibits. Park needs a spruce up and more thought into attracting tourist who want an informative experience. Overpriced and under delivers on wildlife expectations

A beautiful place to park up self contained Van, peaceful and serene by the river. Walk to the Animal Park and around , very pleasant and a great place to enjoy a drink or something to eat. Only problem was that we couldn’t stay longer , due to commitments, But we will be back for sure !

Well worth the trip

We have been here a few times and every time we have visited we have seen different animals. This place is amazing. Robbie the wombat was definitely a highlight for us. Well done and keep up the good work.

Great animal experience at Wing's Wildlife Park
Jan 2020
In January 2020, my husband and I took a tour of the remote Wings Wildlife Park where animals are rescued, rehabilitated and sometimes re-released to their environments. Lots of animals especially koalas, kangaroos, wombats, Tasmanian devils, and merricats - to mention a few. Our tour guide and the staff were very patient as all of the us in his tour were given opportunities to pet and interact with many of the animals. Our guide generously gave us details about the animals. For example, the koala sleeps about 18 hours a day. Lots of pictures were taken. With the Kangaroos, the wild kangaroos were waiting outside the fence for attention and food. The Wings Wildlife is a multi-generational (5 or 7 generations - I forget) and the guide shared their challenges and successes. I highly recommend Wings Wildlife Park. The area around the animal's contained a barbecue with lots of food and drink and walking grounds.

Great Tasmanian Devil Feeding
Mar 2020
This park has wombats, Tas Devils, Kangaroos and many other animals including mirkats (sp). The highlight was the feeding of the Tas Devils: three of them pulling and tugging on a large leg bone which we were told was from road kill which is their staple. The pulled, bit and chomped for 20 minutes showing their impressive teeth. Definitely worth the visit.

Super great
Mar 2020
I fell in love with Tasmania and especially Wings Wildlife Park. Very well run, loved the wombats, Tasmanian Devils and Roos. Felt alittle sad for the one koala, she needed more friends. Nice to see such a variety of Roos plus the dingos. Well worth your time and money.

Light and shadow....
Feb 2020
The entrance fee itself is fair. I was asked if i would like to book any animal-experience, and i asked if i (by myself) could really "hold" a devil at the devil experience, and the answer was "yes" - that was (the only) reason why i booked it. But the keeper did not share this opinion so i ended up sitting five minutes on a bench beside the devil while petting it. If she said "it´s in the keepers descretion" i wouldn´t have booked that in the first place. For that kind of "experience" it was way overpriced, in my opinion. The snakes and other reptiles are kept in small, glass terrariums, why no open-air enclosures? The juvenile wombats were kept in an enclosure, which to me did not seem really appropriate for them : a bench (?) and a plactic bottle...? Also i am not a great supporter of caged birds in general, and here are some really heartbraking birdcages to see (e.g. the red tailed cockatoo): small, cement floors, cold, and the birds did not look in a good shape to me. The lonely Koala somehow seemed to me being out of place there, but o.k. Some enclosures on the other hand seemed to match the (natural) animals requirements very well, the devils (i liked the "mountain" enclosures, because those were really special and were 100% natural environment) and adult wombats seemed to be quite happy, the Roos had their own spacious area, as well as the wedge-tailed eagles. There was even a Roo outside the fence trying to get in?! And: surprisingly there was a white wallaby to spot! (from the Bruny-population?). Overall, there was light and shadow, but i personally would not visit this park again, because it was also a long way to go there and because of the points mentioned above.
