Amazing Tour of the Gunns Plains Caves.
May 2021 • Couples
We had a great experience on the tour of the Gunns Plains Caves. Trish gave us a very warm welcome when we booked in and gave us some interesting historical facts about the caves before our tour even began.
Chris our guide was amazing and made us feel comfortable and safe the whole time. I was a bit nervous about entering the cave but he made me feel totally at ease. Chris was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. Please make the drive out to Gunn Plains for this great tour.

Great Experience

This was not on our todo list for Tasmania but we found it in a brochure on the Spirit of Tasmania and are we glad we did. We were lucky enough to have our Tour Guide Geoff to ourselves. He was knowledgeable and very funny it was like we were old friends. If you like caves this is a tour for you. Thanks Geoff for a great experience.

Underground for an hour
Apr 2021
An hour was spent underground in this cave
A great tour guide in Trish
Some steps stairs at the start and some stairs and a ladder along the way and some tight navigation but well worth it for the experience
Totally enjoyed and recommend

An amazing place and fantastic people, they couldn’t be more helpful. Trish and Geoff went above and beyond to make the whole experience spectacular.
We were a little late for the tour and I, stupidly, locked our keys in the car. Geoff caught us up to the tour and then called for the RACT to come because it could take a while for them to arrive. We did the tour and then sat chatting with Geoff until they came to unlock the car.

Visited today as a last minute thing and really glad we did. Geoff our guide was a lot of fun and we've been to a lot of caves over the years around Australia and these were really impressive. Well worth the effort to pay a visit.

Particularly beautiful and accessible caves (some well made stairs, but nothing really different) presented by really well set out lighting, plus the brightest glow worms I have ever seen. Our guide was passionate and knowledgeable about the caves.

Inside the cave is so beautiful. We had lot of fun and we enjoyed the tour especially because of the tour guide he is so entertaining, funny and friendly. And we really liked his long white beard so cute. And we really liked the lady who was at the reception she is joker too. We had lot of laughter and my son loved them too. Also inside cave was well explained. Amazing experience.

Heaps of fun

We had Geoff as our guide and it ended up being a private tour which was fine with us. His humour made the time fly and an hour seemed to pass in a moment.
Well done walkways, I am over 6 foot so had to really stoop down in a few spots and the stairs are wet, slippery and quite narrow so good walking shoes are an absolute must.
Great information and beautiful lighting, well worth the drive and would recommend.
