Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The place is a perfect spot to learn about the heroic battle during the 1973 (Yom Kippur) war on the Syrian front. Here few Israeli tanks stopped the invasion of the elite Syrian brigade. For each fallen soldier there is a tree and his name is on the memorial monument. Listen to the automatic audio telling the story of the place. You can see clearly the new city of Quneitra in Syria.

Found this stop on Trip Advisor - would not have stopped without that. We had no idea that this memorial existed. The Israeli and Syrian tank relics and strings of land mines (safe, fenced off & not accessible) that flank the orchards and vineyards in the area are a little surreal. Not sure if the remaining tank relics were placed there or simply left in position as-is, but it's sobering to look over the valley and try to imagine the magnitude of the 1973 battle from the top of one these.

We took our kids and grandkids to see this and even ran into a few snow flakes that started to fall while we were there. Well worth the time to stop by in the north of Israel.

This was a "hidden gem" for our Trafalgar trip through Israel.
If you like tanks or are interested in the Yom Kippur War of 1973, you should visit this site. We saw three tanks (two we could approach).
Be sure to start the narrated speech on the machine. We saw that as we were leaving.

This site offers a good panoramic view of the Valley of Tears in the Golan Heights. The tanks and sculptures made from guns, sheet metal, turrets and tank tracks and the plaques bearing the names of fallen soldiers are solemn reminders of the horrors of war and the costly sacrifices for freedom and survival.

This is an excellent place to look at the battle location between Israel and Syria. Some old tanks were damaged during the battle are the for people to look at and climb on. A lot of lives were lost on both sides. You can walk through the trenches where the soldier’s fort from. You do need to stay on the track provided as some area are closed due to land mines. All well marked and fenced off.

Must-See ....... the battlefield (Valley of Tears) and the 20-minute movie.

The current movie is about a year old, so if you've seen an earlier version, you'll probably want to see the update.

The kibbutz does most of the dubbing of Israeli movies and TV shows. Watch when the credits roll and look for KIbbutz El Rom.

It has old tanks as a memorial for the soldiers that were killed in the battles around the place - in the "whipping valley".
It is recommended to have a 4x4 trip in the area, which has nice view.
