Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My husband and I spent my birthday at Borgo Brufa Hotel enjoying every minute of it. We opted for a Panorama Room, which had a balcony with views over the Umbrian countryside. Hotel is spotless and respecting Covid-19 rules.
There is a small indoor pool discharging onto the heated outdoor one. Great atmosphere at night and in the morning when the mist surrounded us. The summer pool was closed, by being October.
There are a few saunas, one of which is panoramic, though you can admire the landscape while sweating. Beauty treatments are available at an additional cost. I am gym enthusiast, I took advantage of the small quite well equipped gym too.
Excellent staff, sophisticated restaurant, a magic bubble!
For obvious reasons some services and features are not available due to the pandemic, however it's still possibile to have a wonderful stay.

we have spent an amazing and unforgettable morning in this piece of eden in Umbria. Sometimes you definitely need a break from your daily life and even a few hours of relax in a SPA like this can give you a strong recharge. We have enjoyed it a lot and for sure we'll do it again and again!

Relaxing weekend at Borgo Brufa resort, Perugia. Great location, great services and fantastic food. Beef tartare with capers, celery parmigiana, trout with cicerchie bean soup, homemade stuffed cappellacci, Umbria pork belly and lamb. Fantastic dinner, completed with a superb chocolate cake. Highly recommended.

My husband and I have just spent a divine relaxing afternoon in the spa, this is not our first time, we have been here before and all the occasions exceed our expectations.
they have been done a marvelous work in upgrading the spa areas, the panoramic finish sauna overlooking the Umbrian hills are priceless. My personal favorite spot is the snow room where you sit and see snow’s falling gives you the right chill after sauna or steam bath sessions.
conclusion??? Borgo Brufa never failed us. we will keep coming back when in need of our relaxation dosage!

My wife and I had the occasion to spend a few nights at this wonderful place in Brufa, just outside of Perugia, Italy.
We were greeted warmly and impressed by AnnaMaria’s attention to detail. The owner, Senore Andrea is hands-on making sure everything is perfect. The spa and restaurant were very, very good. We could not ask for more!

I bought a voucher for a day pass (weekday) for my husband for Christmas 2016 but we have a young baby so we ended up not going during the holidays. I called during the summer 2017 and explained: kindly, they said there would be no problem in using our voucher during 2017 Christmas holidays (we don't live in Italy and don't visit often); I just had to contact them early December. So far so good.
When I contacted them in December, however, I was told that I could not use the voucher during the period between Christmas and New Year - not even a weekday - because they would now consider the whole period as festive: that came as news! I offered to pay an extra: we really wanted to have a day break. That was still not enough: the vouchers for the festive period now include - expensive - treatments, so my choice was between foregoing a present which was already paid for or ending up paying more than its original cost for a treatment I did not request in the first place. We chose the latter, frankly feeling a bit scammed.

The place itself is not bad and the treatment was OK. It was however very crowded (which may explain the poor customer service) and noisy; too noisy for a Spa that prides itself of not accepting under 15. There were people of course taking selfies in the pools, shouting something to each other while doing so.

Lunch was good (excellent local produces such as wine and oil; note however that drinks are not included), although the menu is rather limited.

There are plenty of options in the area and I felt a bit mocked around so I would not go back. I feel it is also too expensive for what it offers so I would not recommend.

Completely overpriced for a mediocre spa hotel. Standard facilities, no outdoor dining possibilities in August to make the most of the stunning views all around. The turkish bath had a musty, damp smell. Definitely needs a revamp.
