Charles Wade must have been an incredibly interesting man to have such an array of collections - as well as the manor being incredibly interesting, the grounds were beautiful and to top it off food in the restaurant delicious!

As others have described in more detail the collection is vast and varied. We have visited the Chateau de Vendeuvre in Normandy, which has similar smaller, but more valuable collection. The biggest advantage at Snowshill, are the staff, which are friendly, welcoming and informed. Snowshill...More

Snowshill Manor is the quirkiest place that I have ever visited. Initially the gardens are lovely with lots of small areas so there is something different around each corner including a delightful model cornish fishing village. The house itself has a collection of weird and...More

This is perhaps the quirkiest NT property that we have ever visited! Even though we arrived soon after opening time, the timed tickets meant a wait of about an hour, so we went for a drink in the cafe near the entrance, before making our...More

Didn't know what to expect visiting this National Trust property, you wouldn't have thought there would be so much historical artefacts inside, Charles Wade was one hell of a collector. There is garden and tea room and plenty to see. Great find👍

Visited with 3 young grandchildren (all under 8) on a rather wet day. House has timed tickets - we had to wait 45 mins but grounds are lovely (although too wet to explore during our visit). You can get into several interesting outbuildings round the...More
