We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My friend and I took a day trip in Konstanz and walk all around town, down to the harbor and in the city park.

I stayed several years in Konstanz and love this city, especially all places and streets close to the lake. People are friendly but during summer time too many tourists. Close to Konstanz is the island “Mainau” which is worth to be visited, but not during weekends.

Historical centre of Constance.

Stroll around and enjoy a look at the beautiful houses.

The fountain has nice details.

Many shops and places to sit down for a drink, ice cream...

It is the central foutain in the Shopping street. It features also metal sculpture of a big horse , which kids often mount. Also some smaller metal scultures, woman, rabits and birds.
Very nice to sit there and watch the people walking by.

Konstanz has a beautiful old city center. I loved walking around there, to brows the little shops and to look around. Lot's of restaurants and cafes around to stop and have a break. Nice place...

A lot of Swiss tourists here though and that reflects in the prices in the city.

The fountain is covered up in the winter. The area around the fountain is great for shopping and strolling through. Lots of shops done are chains but you can also find lots of little unique shops. There are plenty of parking areas but some of the garages are really tight and difficult to navigate.

It is conveniently located for locals and visitors. You can park near the main station and access shops, banks or the Post Office. Markstätte is an interesting setting.

Not sure what I expected but certainly not the construction work going on in and around the square. With all the cafes, tourist hordes and cyclists it can be difficult to move and take everything in as it's quite a small space. You do get a view of Imperia but again it's partially hidden by scaffolding and cranes (August 2017) which is a shame. The main attraction is the Kaiserbrunnen statue/fountain which is a magnet for young and old. There are numerous cafes and overpriced shops in and around the area plus of course it's only a short walk to the Lago shopping mall and harbour area.

Don’t go there on a rainy day, like us, because the otherwise busy, full of life Marketplace looks miserable. Since the Kaiserbrunnen, that we wanted to see is there we tried to ignore the rain, but when everything is dripping wet around, including you, the sightseeing isn’t a real pleasure. It is true, that there are many possibilities for shopping, and restaurants (overpriced), to sit outside – yes, but not on a day like this – and watch the other holiday makers around you, but after the walk around the Kaiserbrunnen, we felt enough of Marktstatte. We could only blame the weather.Luckily, when the Wine Festival opened at 5 o'clock, even the sun started to shine.

The fountain is the heart of this area and a frequent meeting point. On the square you will find several restaurants and cafes with outside seating areas. The square also is the entrance underground tunnel to the harbor area. In the opposite direction walk one block and you will be at the main shopping street.
