We went in mid April and unfortunately the roses had not bloomed. But there were tulips and it was still a site to see. It was not too crowded earlier in the day.

The garden is not so big, you can see the city from here too, but is full of tourists, so don´t think about doing a romantic stroll, just the two of you :)

What a beautiful rose garden with some lovely statues. I loved the design of this area and the view of the city was lovely. There are some seats here so you can sit and relax and take in the beautiful atmosphere. So glad we took...More

We have been here multiple times, and the last 2 times, we have enjoyed the blooms that are just coming up! There are enough benches to sit and lots in the shade, depending on the time. The view is great, and the flowers are gorgeous....More

It seems that roses are extremely popular in Bamberg. You will also have nice views over the city and countryside from this spot. Every section has different type of roses. Amongst the roses are classical statues and benches.

This is worth the visit just for the view. In spring the blooms and scents must be absolutely fantastic/

Will be beautiful with 4500 rose plants in the garden. Well maintained and well worth a stop even out of season.

Ad you'd expect there wasn't a single rose in April.. However the garden was still well kept and you could see the potential! Great views over the town from up here and a nice cafe within the garden. I summer it must be very beautiful.

Worth a visit - even if only for the views over the city. When we went, there were unfortunately no roses yet (just some tulips), but the gardens look very nice. We didn't try the cafe/restaurant. NOTE: If you want to use the toilet, you...More
