Excellent experience, bought our entry ticket and the service started with explanation of where to start and that our ticket would give a discount at the restaurant and validation for the parking so was FREE.
Great selection of vehicles and history.

Thank you to those who served us, your friendly service was appreciated

This museum is best to visit after tour over Audi factory located at the same spot. Unlike Dresden or Wolfsburg plants the visitors walk along the assembly lines and can even touch the parts waiting for assembly or chat with the worker. You will visit Body and Assembly shops. 2 hours of fantastic experience! And after that you can visit museum either taking a 1 hour tour or walking yourself. Lots of unique and beautiful cars starting from 19th century including sports and luxury ones. You will hear that e.g. the oldest car on the exposition costed 12000 marks where new Munich stadium that time was only 15000. Unbelievable to imagine...
Unfortunately if you like to visit factory you have only one chance - working day at 11:30. And you need to book the tickets in advance calling them by phone.
With the lunch it will take you almost whole day. Keeping evening hours for old town walk. Which appeared to be surprisingly beautiful with long pedestrian street and colorful houses.
This city is a must visit for those who thinks to visit Germany

Audi......it's just cool!

A friend of mine who works for this amazing car company took me through this museum. Really fantastic place to visit when in this area. If you have any interest in the history of cars, or just happen to be a car enthusiast, this is the place to be.

About 14 levels of Audi from one era to the other takes you from the beginnings up to the modern era. An exciting twist is seeing how they went from being a standard 4 door automobile for the family to a top end luxury car. The development of the technology is pretty amazing and the story is fascinating.

There is a nice gift shop attached but it's pretty expensive. If you're in the area, give yourself a few hours and stroll through. Certainly something to talk about back home!

Very nice museum with awesome cars! The cars were well preserved and shiny. I had a non-guided tour at the museum which was great since the museum is not that big. Note that there is just old, historical and concept cars here and no normal cars! If you want to see the other cars manufactured today there is another building near the museum with almost every car they make. I recommend you take the guided tour at the Audi factory which is amazing, you get to see almost every part of the factory, from the aluminum body to the final car! The tours are available in both german and english. Remember to book the tickets before you get there on the website!

Yes, I own an Audi but you certainly don't have to in order to enjoy the tour. It costs 7 Euros and we were able to get the only English tour at 11:30 even though we arrived just 45 minutes prior (not recommended - reservations advised).

The tour is through the production line of the A3. Simply amazing watching the robots do their ballet to build a car, the spotlessness of the entire facility, the workers putting in the finishing touches, and of course the starting of the car for the first time as it rolls off the line.

Before or after a visit to the museum is totally appropriate - there is an extra 2 euro fee for the three story museum. Currently, one of the cars on loan to the museum is the Audi from the movie I Robot with Will Smith.

We had lunch at the cafeteria which was priced fairly with a great selection of food.

The Audi Forum is a great place to spend 3-5 hours!

Yes, this review is coming from someone who has owned and driven Audi's for decades; and I has attended Audi driving and Motorsport Experience events; so, yes I am biased. And it is clear that the Museum, the bookstore, the Audi Collection shop, the Audi Forum and the Audi customer delivery area all are showcases for Audi. And they are exemplary showcases.

With that said you will see decades of Auto Union and Audi autos plus 30+ years evolution of Quattro racing vehicles. No matter what your brand preference, if you have a passion for autos, motorsports and technology this place is worth the trip.

And, the town of Ingolstadt on the Danube is terrific, it's "Ingolstadt Village" shopping (100+ boutiques) will keep the shopper very satisfied (but with a lighter wallet).

Less than an hour north of Munich's Franz Josef Strauss Airport, Ingolstadt has plenty of restaurants and reasonable hotels.

Note - the factory tour is only available once a day at 11:30 AM and the factory tour and customer delivery is closed on German holidays.

The restaurants are perfect for family dining or more formal dining and the balance of the facility is open on holidays. Restaurants are good value.

We recently travelled to Germany to pick up an Audi through their European Delivery Program. We were picked up at our hotel in an A8 and taken the the Audi factory, restaurant and museum to spend the day and receive our car.
We took an english tour of the factory, and it was truly the absolute highlight of our almost 2 week trip. The factory tour was so facinating and to see the operations was magnificent. If you are planning to be in Ingolstatt, please make sure you take time for the factory tour. The onsite restaurant is very good too.
At the end of our day, we walked across the parking lot to the museum. I'm really glad we did. The building was beautiful and the museum was interesting and fun. I didn't know the history of Audi and now I do! It's an easy museum to visit and not at all boring.

My husband and I visited the Audi Forum and Museum as part of a 12-day Munich/Bavaria trip. We have an A6 and a Q7 at home and we really enjoyed this experience, but if you are interested in cars at all you would find it interesting. We walked the showroom floor and the only complaint here is that we thought it would be good if they had more cars on display. The A7 and A8 are two gorgeous vehicles shown. The store has many products to choose from and is quite large. The cafe is nice and after paying for water all over Germany it was nice to be offered free water, juice and soda. It was fun watching new owners get the demo and pick up their new cars. For the museum we booked a private English tour for only €6 pp - must book way in advance for ALL tours (museum and factory). Maria was a very informative tour guide and her English was great. I was surprised at how much we enjoyed the tour - so much more informative than walking around on our own. Maria was able to answer all of our questions and we asked quite a few. We had no clue about the history of Audi and the effect Black Friday had on Germany and German auto companies specifically. I would recommend this to anyone interested in cars or if you are visiting Ingolstadt.
