The Burg Limburg is directly behind the Dom and is nice to check out. I only give it a three because you can't do anything but walk around a small courtyard. I am sure it is really cool inside. Still, it's worth checking out if...More

A good place to stop by and visit if already in Limburg. Pass by the Diocesan museum as well. Worth to see all the treasury of the church.

Limburg an der Lahn is one of the best preserved historic towns of the Lahn Valley. Build around the Limburg Castle, the town is all you can expect from a German old burg: picturesque streets, charming half-timbered houses, some dating back to 13th century, and...More

Limburg is known mainly for its half-timbered buildings. However, the city also has its own castle. It stands on a cliff behind the Cathedral. It is not a tourist object, because it houses some urban services (e.g., archive). Initially, city authorities planned to sell it...More
