I had a lovely walk up here in June and the weather was gorgeous. This is a great place for viewing the scenery surrounding tubingen. However, there is a lack of activities when you reach the top and also a lack of refreshment facilities. I...More

The Castle isn't that big - but delivers a stunning view all over the Tübingen old Town. The ramparts of the Castle itself are worth a visit too naturally! Easiest Access is via the market Place and the Haaggasse. More over you can check out...More

I think it is very good that you can just walk around the castle courtyard without having to pay anything! They also have a museum inside that you can pay to go in. While I found it difficult to find out how to walk up...More

The place really surprised me. I did not have high expectations, but when I got there I found a fantastic place. It was not so crowded and there you have the possibilty to see wonderful landscapes.

The outer gate of the castle (anno 1350 circa) has a round inscription: "Honi soit qui mal y pense". Has anybody seen these words before? Especially in the UK, and especially those who voted for Brexit thinking that England has nothing to do with Europe?

The castle was built in the 1060,s and still standing and looking ver nice from the bottom of the town. Its a steep walk up but worth while to see.

Set on the highest point in the old city of Tubingen, the Schloss commands great views across the Neckar valley and over the sharp ridges beyond, as well as over the city itself. We spent maybe 45 minutes late in the afternoon before dinner just...More

I'd say around 1 hour ... although you could potentially stay for a few hours if you wanted to relax up there with a picnic and enjoy the views. Plenty of lovely gardens to sit in.
