If you're considering visiting the museum, my advice is a huge DON'T! If you speak german, it might be (just might, cause sure it doesn't look like) interesting. But if you don't, forget it! Despite being the main attraction of a TOURISTIC route, there are...More

You haven´t really been at our museum, isn´t it? We only can repeat: At the entrance there are sheets with english, italian, french and even spanish translations. The employees will hand it out. And there is a summary in english language in each room of...More

Totally agree with the majority of the reviews that English translation was missing. I thought it did not exist. And now I see the reply of the official person of the museum: "Since 1997 you can get a paper with english translations of our most...More

Again: we are sorry! We asked our staff and got to know, that the paper was out. Now it is available again... But nevertheless there are english translations on steles in nearly every room of the museum! Please do have a look!

Not a very imaginative presentation. We found the historical information interesting but it was almost all just photos with written info and very small printing at that. The photos of the furnished rooms on the museum's website were very misleading and a disappointment. The current...More

We are so sorry that you weren´t allowed to carry your meds in our museum. Meanwhile we have had a serious conversation with the employees at the entrance of the museum, so this won´t happen again. But the business with the translations and that our...More

This museum hosts the history of the Teutonic Knight. Since this is a part of history that interests me, I found the museum very enjoyable. I think we also got discount tickets for coffee in the castle grounds. The museum itself is in a castle.

This is a great museum and even though there is very little in English, we enjoyed it. There was one staff member who spoke some English and she was very nice to give us some explanations. We were excited to see the history of the...More

The museum had a numbr of interesting exhibitions with different themes. The dolls houses depicting German homes at different times in the past were particularly good. The tickets were good value. The staff were helpful.

This museum covers the local town, an impressive dollhouse collection and the history of the Teutonic Order, for which the building was once the main base. There is also one temporary exhibit, while we were there on the solar system. The museum is much bigger...More

I knew a little about the order from previous visits to Marienburg in Poland where the teutonic knights had there main stronghold. I therefore wanted to visit this museum. The building was interesting, with a wonderful sprial staircase elaboratedly decorated. The exibition about the orders...More

Thank you for your friendly report! But we have to correct: there are english informations about our museum! Since 1997 you can get a paper with english translations of our most important texts at the entrance of the museum and since 2002 these texts are...More
