Afrer our journey and then walks around the area with the mist slowly crawling up the mountain, we were rewarded with a good plate of local food. The journey up the mountain is a delight, we got a bus to get there.

Lovely gondola ride to the top of the mountain, then a nice leisurely walk around the top before a lovely meal and drink in the restaurant at the top. Then back to the bottom on the Rauschberg bahn

Well worth the trip up to the top, amazing views and so peaceful. The crisp cold air and the brilliant sunshine made for some stunning photos.

Used our Ruhpolding card and took a trip in the cable car to the top. Lovely day and very relaxing. Saw the hang gliders in action.

Spent a lovely few hours walking in and around area , decided to use ski lift to get to the top quickly as I was going to paraglide back down from the summit to the valley floor . Nice relaxing ride up to the summit and even better ride to the bottom

Take your time and go up the mountain with the lift. You will have a great view over the Alps and will be able to enjoy a beer on the outdoor terrace of the pub up there.

Visited recently, the bonus being that our trip was free with a Ruhpolding Extra card. Punctual service with minimum waiting time. View from the top of the cable car was stunning and we enjoyed walking at the top. Some very interesting sculptures including "Adam's Hand". Restaurant also served delicious food. Fascinating to watch hang/para gliders setting up and taking off... More

We went up the cable car free with our Extra passes and walked back down. The path was wide and well sign posted although steep in places. The restaurant had lots of traditional German food on the menu and an oompa band. Well worth a visit for the stunning views

We got there early and did not have to queue for long before boarding the cable car. Quite a ride with stunning views. At the top are lots of walks well signposted with the walking times! A restaurant also awaits you with the usual good selection of food and drink - sit on the terrace and enjoy the views !

We thought it would be best to go on a clear day so that the views would really be done justice, so that's my advice for any travellers who want to hike it. And it is so worth the climb to the top - you feel an amazing sense of accomplishment, and as if that wasn't enough, if you make... More
