Getting to the Eucla jetty taken a 1km or so walk across the dunes on a reasonably easy to find track. The jetty is a relic from the Eucla's glory days as the main telegraph station on the East-West Telegraph line.

The old jetty is still very grand. Not a lot left but is really good to get that special photo. The water is clear and beach is white.

From the old telegraph station, you can walk about 500m through the dunes following a rough track (if you have a 4WD, you might be able to drive most of the way) to get the beach. I can't imagine the water's good for swimming for...More
