Quirky, certainly and others may call it rough and ready, but it does give you a more authentic West Coast experience. This is a land of survivors in a country with a pionerring element in it's psyche, so when you are in the bush, don't...More

Such an odd place, not very friendly or interesting. Coffee was fine but everything was realy dirty, including the toilets. Wouldn't recommend stopping here.

We stopped here for coffee whilst driving north. What a quirky, interesting place made even more interesting because we were able to chat uninterrupted to Pete (Bushman Pete) and Justine who have lived an amazing life in this part of the world and have a...More

If you are looking for a plush, modern coffee shop or like political correctness, keep driving this is not the place for you!! We had a cafetiere of coffee (some refer to them as plungers) which was such a relief after all the flat whites,...More

We stopped here as our youngest needed a feed and it did the job. There were limited food options - including having run out of cheese (we'd need to wait 2 days apparently for the next delivery), but they rustled up some things for the...More

Was doing a bucket-list food tour of NZ. Heard Bushman's did whitebait sandwiches and we drove for hours to get there. Despite bad weather we still made it; the whitebait signs were out, a couple of people were dining in, so far so good. "What...More
