The museum evolved with the intention of creating a cultural link between the cultural universe of the small town of Mamoiada, which is known throughout the world for its traditional masks, the "Mamuthones" and "Issohadores", and other Mediterranean areas, wich display a similar history and culture through their masks and Carnival celebration.

I had seen the famous costumes of Mamoiada during a cultural event, so I was unsure about whether to bother with the museum after having already seen them "face to face", but I'm glad I did as I learnt so much more about their stories...More

There is a very nice video to start then there are two rooms, the first of local masks & costumes, the second is masks & costumes for as far as Spain, Greece & Croatia. It's not huge, but I thought well worth it.

Very interesting wooden masks and costumes. Starts with a 10 min. video to understand some of the traditional and festivals masks and clothing. Fair price €5 / adult. Not a big museum.

A video to show the festival and some traditional clothing of the pagan and of the "owners". Unsure why 8€ are charged. IMHO 2€ is a max to request for a two room venue, that is checked within 15 min visit.
