A wonderful piece of Wallis history, just a short walk up the hill from the Bahnhof and town centre. Lovely architecture, bags of history and amazing photo opportunities just a short stroll from the centre. Always a joy to visit.

We enjoyed a guided tour of the castle. We learned of the amazing Stockalper who cleverly monatized the use of the pass to create his personal furtune. His importance to the city of Brig cannot be underestimated.

You can walk through the courtyard & gardens free of charge. It is a lovely spot close to the city centre of Brig. They do tours in German (and I was told you can get an organised one in English).

Very well informed tour of the palace with my English speaking guide Isabella. Interesting information about Kasper Stockalper von Thurn and his business interests in the 1600's.

mpressive on the outside This massive palace is visible from all over the town. The interior is not very exciting. When we visited, it had a small but interesting exhibition about the Simpson tunnel.

Yes! The castel is located near the train station. You can walk into the city and further to the castel. Go straight all the way. It will take you about 5 to 10 minutes to walk. Kind regards
