Very nice outdoor activity
Nov 2019
I have visited the place multiple times in past few years. Summer is the best time to go. If you like outdoor, nature and hiking you will enjoy.

Gorgeous place
May 2019 • Friends
Stein Castle is a true Landmark of Baden, gorgeous place with a lot of cachet. Great panorama of the city and suburbs, nice to sit there in the sun and watch around.

Well, beautiful panorama from the top, but after 448. If you don’t want climb, there is a bus from the town. The castle is only tower in ruins.

Top of baden
Jul 2018
After a longer climbing you reach the top of Baden. Is it a "Castle" or a "ruin"? If you live in baden it's a castle, but there are not many walls. It's a viewpoint, a place to chill and and relaxe. Sometime there are events, but most time its only one of the quieter place in baden. On sunny days there are many students and tourists. :)

quick stairway to get there, good views, not a lot more than a few old walls, but nice look out over the old town and the valley

An indicator (to the entrance of the castle) on the Obere Gasse is highly needed
Aug 2018 • Solo
A fabulous historic spot. Unfortunately, it is lack of proper management.

For example, it is very hard to find the way to the castle.

If you walk from the train station. Go through the Stadtturm (town tower). Twenty meters west to the Löwenbrunnen (lion fountain), you’ll find a narrow stairs road on the right hand side (North side) of the Obere Gasse. Climb up the stair road, you’ll reach the castle in 10 minutes.

This is the fastest way to get to the spot. But there is no indicator to the entrance of the castle on the Obere Gasse. An indicator on the corner of the stair road is highly needed

A castle ruin above the municipality of Baden with a very nice view over the surroundings. Good place to relax and enjoy the view.

Superb spot
Mar 2018 • Solo
You can basically not get a better view over the coty than from here. The stairs up the hill are a little exercise, but it’s really worth it for the views.
Ruins as a whole are always fascinating, but the way parts of the coty nestled itself around the hill makes it just a very special place.

Nice castle ruins and view
Apr 2018 • Solo
With a little effort you can climb on a 10 minutes ascent by stairs from downtown, and when you get on the top you can enjoy not only the nice castle ruins but also the landscape of all the town and surroundings (unfortunately not the Zuerich lake, hidden by a hill).
Recommended especially at sunset
