We really enjoyed our private English speaking tour. He gave great details. We had our kids (ages 9-14) who also enjoyed it. Highly recommend

We visited, during their anniversary celebration. Tickets for a guided tour were free. While the tour was in German, the guide did his best to explain things to us in English where our limited German failed us. The fortress itself is fascinating and not too...More

Very interesting and enjoyable tour of a secret mountain fortress.  The "public tour" lasts about 90 minutes (ours was in English, but they also offer German) as you visit one of the large guns, living quarters, operations-related areas and also get a quick view of...More

I organized this activity for about 30 international coworkers. Everyone gave it rave reviews and were suprised at how interesting the tour was. Much of that was due to our fabulous guides who spoke perfect English and were very informative and fun! The bunker is...More

One of the biggest highlights of my Switzerland trip. Easy drive from Lucerne. Incredible views of the lake from the fortress and surrounding areas. Really happy that i was able to include it into my itinerary.

Really surprised to find that the mountain behind the Village of Vitznau contained a fortress. It was built during WWII with to large canons pointing in direction of Luzern, being part of the defence against a Nazi German invation.

Advised by a number of guide books to check out this past Swiss defense fortress and if you are a history buff (or perhaps just curious) would recommend a visit at 6 euro. It's well marked and a documented path through dank cave tunnels to...More

Visits conducted by retired ex-army experts, knowledgable on local history and with some amusing anecdotes. True Swiss quality build, impressive engineering! Well worth a visit.
