Waiatoto River Safari. Only NZ jet boat tour from the ocean to the mountains 2.25 hours of extraordinary nature and exceptional beauty only seen on this trip. Experience the history of Gondwana land, smell the rainforest as you walk softly through the dripping ferns with the sparkling clear light shimmering, with the snowy peaks as your backdrop. Your experienced guide will lead you through the ancient river, still untouched as it was thousands years ago when the Maori first roamed the land, the great Moa bird and Haast eagle still ruled the ancient forests. You will experience the magical, breathtaking beauty of the Te Wahipounamu, the maori name for the South West New Zealand World Heritage area and take home memories that will have you yearning to return once more.

Dear Helen, Philip, Joshua and Phoebe, Thank you for your high praise. Kim will be delighted. I remember that day being particularly wet, that even the roof on the boat would have not kept the rain at bay. Living in a rain forest, we appreciate...More

This was just the most wonderful ride in a jet boat. It was not about thrills, it was about traveling to the head of the Waiatoto River and seeing nature in all it's glory. Absolutely stunning scenery along the way. Expertly skippered by Wayne, he...More

Wow! Thanks Sue D for this very generous review. Both of us come from a commercial pilot background which I think shows in Wayne's skippering, and he does really enjoy taking people out to see our piece of paradise. Kind regards Ruth & Wayne.

We were hosted by Ruth, who gave us a very informative and interesting ride from the ocean to the alps. Although there was a bit of rain the roof kept us dry. I recommend anyone in the Haast area to take this trip.

Hi Nuno, great to hear from you. Yes absolutely safe for Children and of course fun. We have life jackets to fit all ages and our baby had her first trip on the boat at 4 weeks old.
