Great for kids, best to bring a picnic
Went on Mother’s Day weekend with my Mum & 2 daughters and the kids loved it! They got to pet Guinea Pigs & Rabbits which is always a hit and bottle feed the lambs which they really enjoyed. They also saw goats, donkeys, pigs, horses, chickens & ducks. The tractor ride was ok but the tarpaulin cover made it hard to see on the way round. The restaurant wasn’t the best either, quite basic. They gave a free pot plant to all Mum’s which was a nice touch and the kids loved the indoor soft play and outdoor play park. I’m sure the kids would be more than happy to return and I’d be happy to take them!

Great day out. So much to do 😀
As a family of 4 we came so much we ended up getting annual passes. We could and often do spend all day here. So much to do for kids such as the feeding, watching the milking demonstration, air cannons, sky rider and all the other bits out on the field. Lovely to be able to interact and spend time with the animals and get close to them and feed them. Can see how well cared for they are. They have a cafe, coffee area and indoor soft play, tractor rides, crazy golf, there’s plenty to do. My son loved being able to hold a chick and bottle feed a lamb which I don’t think you can do many other places so it’s quite a lovely experience for them and one you don’t often come by. Great day out and well worth a visit.

    Saved from naughty donkey!
We have been going to RFP for many years but yesterday the staff just seemed extra helpful and so brilliant with my son and his friend. We had a go at archery and the two staff members were calm, patient and helpful (mainly with me!) One of the staff members that was on the sky rider managed to save me from being head butted by the naughty donkey! Thank you!

    Fantastic Christmas experience and santa
Enjoyed an Amazing Christmas experience today. I visited today with my daughter to see Santa. Parked up easily & shown to the ticket elf. We were a little early so waited 5 or so minutes then was shown through. I was really impressed. Very well thought out and organised. Timing was great throughout. All the staff (elves) were brilliant and friendly. Santa was absolutely fabulous. He gave my daughter enough time to talk to him & plenty of time for photos. Such a magical experience. Toasting marshmallows was a nice touch. My daughter loved being able to pet some of the rabbits and guinea pigs too . I would recommend the Christmas experience

What a day to remember (Christmas Experience)
Wow, wow, wow. We booked the Christmas experience at Rand Farm visiting as two adults with an 11 year old and 6 year old. The 11 year old only wanted to participate as an adult and not really want the Santa Claus interaction. Therefore, the experience was mostly for the 6 year old. We arrived early as we had some distance to travel, plenty of parking available. We had booked an early experience so was one of the first few people in. Staff were welcoming and explained where facilities were and where we needed to be and the time to ensure we did not miss our slot. We made our way to the elf who checked us in and we waited for more elves to guide us round the forest, meeting reindeer, the elf postal worker (absolutely amazing set up). The various stations s through the walk to get to Santa was enjoyable and all children and adults participated. Upon reaching Santa there was a slight queue before being checked in by the elf. Santa was amazing and shocked the 6 year old with all the knowledge about her recent trip. He gave the 6 year old a token to exchange for a toy in the toy store, what a great idea for a child to choose something they would like. She also decorated a gingerbread man and as we left a snow machine was being used and we managed to get some lovely family photos with the falling snow. All of us had the best day including the 11 year old. We later fed some animals, fed some milk to the lambs and had a ride on the tractor. The children played in the indoor soft play which entertained them for a while. All in all, we had a great day. This was our first visit and we will be returning for Christmas 2024. Thank you Rand Farm Park for making this a magical day that the 6 year old keeps talking about.

    Fantastic Christmas Experience
We are regular visitors to Rand Farm, but this was our first year trying the Christmas Experience. From start to finish, the whole Experience was amazing. The elves were all fantastic and interacted so well with everyone. Santa was spot on and loved that it was a family experience with santa rather than a group experience. The idea of picking a present from the toy shop is such a brilliant idea and relieves any chance of disappointment. The animals and play areas are an added bonus. For the price we paid, it was fantastic value for money. We will be returning next year!

    Great for the kiddos
Such a nice little place, it’s definitely not filled with animals BUT there’s tonnes for the kids to do and the animals they do have are obviously well cared for. Plenty of parking space but I have heard it can get really busy. The facilities are all clean and well maintained. The cafe is big enough and has decent options, portion sizes are small for adult meals but the kids get plenty! The gift shop is big and reasonably priced.

Lovely farm! Lots to do. Tea room has great gluten free food. Homemade burgers (gf), fries cooked in a separate frier. Great find!

We chose to visit the farm park on the way back from a camping weekend to break up the journey for the little kids. It was a last minute decision to go so we didn't have time to research it and what a mistake that was!

From start to finish the experience was just awful.

Firstly, we tried to book tickets through the website and make the most of the 'book online and save £3 per person' deal. Well we added all the tickets to the basket on the website, at the discounted price, for the checkout price to just be full price with no discount! So we didn't bother booking and just paid on the door, since apparently that's not an error on the website, just a lie.

Secondly, we arrived around lunch time so decided to head straight to the cafe. The staff were all kids themselves who had clearly had very little or no training and couldn't answer any of our questions about the menu, which only gave names of dishes with no description of what was included, making it difficult to find something for dietary requirements. We managed to find something we could order for the kids and went and sat down, having given them our table number. The cafe had 3 other families in eating, so wasn't busy at all. About 10-15 minutes after ordering, a young girl came out of the kitchen with what looked like our order on a tray. She approached a guy sat a few tables away from us who was clearly already eating his food, and with no one else with him. He obviously said it wasn't his order. But instead of looking for the correct table, the girl just took the food back into the kitchen and left it there. She clearly couldn't care less and just stood talking to the other kid who was working on the till. We had to go up and ask her to bring our food back out!! Absolutely terrible service. They really need to train their staff or just employ people who actually do their job.

After eating the substandard, expensive food, we headed out to see the animals. What a mistake. It was the saddest, dirtiest, smelliest farm "park" I've ever seen. The animals are clearly an after thought. The smell by the chickens was enough to make you gag. It wasn't a normal farm smell, which is something we're used to after spending a lot of time in the countryside and visiting farm parks. It smelt like sewage and rotting eggs. We had to cover our faces and hurry past to get away from the smell, it was so bad.

We headed into the animal barn and it was just awful. Loads of cows, sheep, donkeys, pigs, goats etc. crammed into a hot smelly barn. You could see the sheep panting and trying to get water out of the tiny trough that was full of hay, stopping them from drinking any of the old, dirty water. All of the animals looked incredibly sad and just defeated. I had to keep a brave face for the children but I honestly could have cried for them, it was so sad to see. Like I say, the animals are definitely an after thought. They really need to leave the animals out of it and just call it an adventure or play park and focus purely on all the random kids activities they've got there.

And as if it wasn't enough that we'd paid over £80 to get in with 3 adults, 1 child and 2 babies, plus the £30+ on the basic food in the cafe, we then were practically robbed at the ice cream stand. The first two ice creams were made up wrong, but I didn't realise until after I'd paid and the (again very young and untrained) member of staff said the ice cream wasn't what I'd asked for. So I had to pay the same again to get the correct ones!! So £20 for 2 pots of ice cream. One with 2 scoops and one with 1 scoop. Oh but you do get sauce and toppings (as long as they've actually got what they advertise, which they didn't on this occasion!).

All in all a very expensive and extremely disappointing day out. I will be emailing them directly also to advise that I'd really like at least a partial refund, especially for the ice cream!

I really wouldn't recommend wasting your time or money on this place. There's a wildlife park just up the road if you like animals, or otherwise save your money and just go to your local park or soft play centre!

Thank you for your review. We are extremely disappointed you didn’t enjoy your visit. Our online discount is available until 10.00am on the day of your visit as clearly stated on our website Our animals are definitely not an afterthought. They are all very much loved and well cared for with clean water and bedding every day. Sunday was a particularly hot day so more of our animals were inside in the shade rather than out in the sun but they would have been panting (a natural means of keeping cool) due to the heat. Our duty manager was here all day to address any concerns and to rectify any issues but we regret we are unable to rectify any mistakes after the event Rand Farm Park offers a good selection of animals, indoor and outdoor play areas as well as other seasonal facilities and activities for visitors of all ages and abilities

We visit the farm a few times a year and go to the music festival in the summer.
Great farm with play park which will keep the family entertained for half a day. The music festival was a great way to introduce kids to festival life and having the park there to keep them entertained was ideal. It is very pricey if you go on the lambing weekends however. Save the money and avoid that period of time.

• really nice farm, spend a-lot of money on the farm in the last few years since I was a child going , New animal barn and a lot of animals within that.

• they spend alot on season stuff. Example Christmas, dinosaur half term etc and every event I have been too like that at Rand it’s really worth it’s money it is all great costumes and actors.

• the outdoor play area with the trampolines is cool kids loved that.

• indoor play area ideal if it rains.

It isn’t cheap so, you want to get a full day there and as much as the food is nice in the cafe time you paid the entrance fee its an expensive day out if your buying food on-top. Standard Chocolate bars you’re looking at £1.50.

The new ramp and carts my kids absolutely loved but definitely need more carts only 2 and the Que was big at a weekend. All kids loved it

A lot of handling sessions, feedings, tractor etc.
