Ok so we came Christmas week (we stayed in the Garden view wing) and it is mobbed with a scramble for any pool loungers and hanging to pre confirm a booking for the restaurant 5gat you wanted to eat in.
So the good points:
Our holiday at Sabah was second to none. I can't fault a single thing. We stayed at shangri la rasa ria Kota Kinabalu and the staff there are amazing, they made us feel like rock stars. Anything we asked for was granted without any fuss....More

They used to have orangutan's at the hotel but I am pretty sure I am correct in saying they don't anymore. There is a jungle walk which is great but you won't see any there. You will have to go further afield. There is the rehabilitation center at Sepilok. There are others you could investigate, Lok Kawi is closer (about 20km from KK) but not sure which would be your best option. Good luck!
