At the Butterfly Farm you will be escorted by your guide who will lead you through a specially created exhibition area of landscaped gardens. This is the butterflies own lush tropical garden playground! Here you will see hundreds of rare and exotic butterflies fluttering freely around you. The guide will identify different species, point out courtship and mating displays and tell butterfly facts and stories. You can also witness the various stages of the butterfly's life cycle, from butterflies laying their eggs to caterpillars hatching, growing and forming their chrysalis. Ask your guide how to handle the butterflies and caterpillars if you dare! The tour lasts around 15 minutes and you are welcome to stay as long as you like at leisure in the gardens. There is also an extensive selection of butterfly gifts and souvenirs in the shop, or drinks available in the shady cafe. Car parking and rest rooms on site free of charge.

We had a really nice time here. The butterflies are lovely to see and the tour is good - interesting, informative and a good length. Great value for money too.

This is a very small farm, but the staff and I had extensive conversations on butterflies (I grow milkweed in Canada to support Monarchs). The $15 fee allows one multiple visits while on the island.. I visited on a very wet dull day, and was...More

The garden was pretty but nothing unique. We visited as a shore excursion from royal carribean. Had I never been to a butterfly exhibit I probably would have been impressed. I live in Indianapolis and can enjoy a much larger exhibit at the zoo.

The English tour guide was a delight and not too hung up on himself. Wonderful dry sense of humour and love of his subject matter.

Fairly small but lots of butterflies, little bit expensive at $15 a person but interesting if you have not seen one before. Personally I found the one in Niagara Falls Canada is much bigger with quite a few more butterflies.

Butterfly farm is always a stop for my family and I when on St. Martin. The staff are all so friendly and knowledgeable. Great chances to take photos of all the butterflies. Go early when they are more active.

There was an excursion from a cruise ship while we were there. They stayed about an hour which was plenty of time. It is not a large venue but very beautiful and if you love butterflies, I strongly recommend The Butterfly... More
