We really had no idea what to expect. It was fun, educational, and a neat way to spend a couple of hours. Tons (literally) of amethyst to buy in the shop, if you play that game. :)

The bus trip from Iguazu is pretty long (about 4 hours), but the tour guide made up for it. Pretty funny tour guides and lots of insight on the mines and how they are acquired. Good thing to do if nothing else is available.

My parents bought a stone - with certificate and promises about the quality of it. As my mom wanted to use it for neckless she got informed that the stone is made out of glass... so just don't buy anything - u'll be cheated
