A stunningly beautiful island, yet unspoilt, probably because of the effort to get there - a 3.5 hour drive from Seoul followed by a 3 hour ferry ride, which can be choppy so be prepared if you get sea sick. Was lucky to go with...More

Friendly, small, clean, natural. The entire island can be driven around in a total of an hour and a half, but there are tons of things to do, whether you enjoy eating local food or visiting natural attractions.

Ulleung island is quite out of the way for people who don't speak or read Korean but if you can make it there, it is definitely worth your while. Tourists are mainly local and can be quite crowded during Korea's holiday season. There are many...More
