Good place to visit in December. Get your Christmas tree and shop for good quality presents in the shop.When the trees are bare the views are splendid. The lovely walks in the forest are quieter too.

We visited here on route with the Mutts to whinlatter pass, there is a nice play area for the kids, and what looked like Very nice cafe! Also there is a gift shop selling the usual stuff.

Hi You pay just before you leave and they take card or notes. It's about £3 for two hours.

Sorry I have only just seen your question. I am unsure if there is a bus up there but you could get a taxi and it is well worth it.
