Christmas present 50 shots each this week. Teacher was great , could not have been more experienced and attentive. We were instructed in gun etiquette before being allowed to touch one.
I have done a lot of shooting with front and rear or telescopic sights or from the hip, but having no rear sight threw me completely as I am (inconsistently) left eye dominant, so I must shut or occlude my left eye next time. Also the mask fogged our eye shields, so I would put micropore across the top edge to seal it .
Recoil was very easy with these cartridges, much less than a military rifle .

We booked a couple of nights here on a whim. The mrs was struggling a little with the lockdown rules and it had took a toll on her mentally. I had worked all the way through it so I was tired also.... we needed a break.
We found this place on hoseasons, the price was awesome. When we arrived the staff who greeted us were super polite and seemed genuinely happy to see us.
Everything was done in a COVID secure way from getting the keys in a little plastic bag to being given your site induction by a video.
The pods are tucked away down a hill at the edge of a forest, with a small lake teeming with goldfish, and if you’re quiet enough and patient there is some massive fish which pop up to feed.
Our pod itself was amazing, it was spotless, I mean not a single bit of dirt or thing out of place, it even smelled super clean. Next to the pod on its own little decking area is the hot tub. It was hot on our arrival and again was super clean, we were slightly worried that it wasn’t private as the shrubs that have been planted are still quite small, but once you were in the hot tub you couldn’t see anyone else’s. quite clever really.
The decking area was well lit and looked amazing with the lighting but the best thing was when we turned it off at midnight and was treated to the most awesome night sky, because your quite far away from the towns and villages in the area, the stars are so bright and you can see a lot more than you normally do.
On our second day we had a breakfast butty in the cafe on site and it was really nice and the price was good too.
All in all I have to say this place was top class. The facilities, the staff and the location are great, could they improve on anything? Probably but I didn’t see anything during my stay.
Thanks guys we will be back

We booked a 3 nights away stay here at the beginning of May and wow what a hidden Gem this is. We stayed in the lakeside plus pod and had a hot tub. Very private cabins, and never too overlooked by anyone. Unfortunately when the weather isn’t so great there isn’t a lot to do, so i would highly recommend having a car as there isn’t much you can walk to at this location. But really clean , friendly staff and amazing views. Would definitely recommend.

Just stayed here for the weekend with my boyfriend. My first complaint is about the hot tubs. When we arrived we noticed one of the jets for the hot tub was loose at the bottom of the pool, this was slotted back in by maintenance the next morning, however repeatedly kept popping out during the weekend- which is obviously not ideal. We had noticed on the 2nd night the hot tub was extremely cold, even though we had tried to adjust it to the highest setting. It did not seem to reach 40 degrees at all, just staying on 30. The water was that cold that after an hour we gave up and sat inside the pod, with the heater on full blast- which you wouldn’t expect in July/August.
The next complaint is due to the faulty lights. Every pod had fairy lights outside their area, however ours didn’t work all weekend, which was very disappointing. We inspected the lights to see why this was and we could see the wire had been patched up with tape, so this problem was already known to them. If lights are broken you’d expect them to be replaced not botched up.
I think check in and checkout time should also be mentioned. When we initially booked in May/june arrival was 4pm and checkout was 10am. When we arrived this had then apparently changed to 5pm check in and 9am checkout. We found the 9am checkout far too early and probably would’ve looked at other locations with better times, had we been made aware of this when we booked.
The facilities were also very basic. The oven was a portable mini oven, so we had to cut our pizzas in half, to be able to cook them- which you can imagine was very time consuming. Cups are coloured plastic cups (children’s cups), which wasn’t very suitable when drinking Prosecco or any alcohol. You’d expect proper drinking glasses to be provided for adult stays. I would have brought my own, if I had of known. I have added pictures of both.
Overall, I would not return here. It is very overpriced for what you get.

Our group of 3 had a great time with our first experience of shooting clay pigeons. The instructor was excellent, giving a full brief of the safety using the rifles. We were then taken to our own pod. He reassured us about the measures taken to keep us safe during COVID. Whilst not having the best shot myself, we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

We wanted to do something a little different for our first wedding anniversary and this was perfect. The weather was awful but that didn’t stop us having fun. The centre itself is nice and well organised and you could tell that the people there really love what they do. Have got to say though that Bryon really made it for me. He’s awesome and an asset to the business. He was informative, patient and genuinely interested in helping you actually hit something! Will definitely be going back :)

Lovely, relaxing stay in a nice remote location. Security on the site was good and there were activities to get involved with but we didn't use these.
Pod 7 - over looking the pond, with a hot tub, which we were able to use from our first night of arrival. The hot tub made this trip. The pod included all the basics listed on the website, it was clean and comfortable. The pod wasn't particularly spacious, but we had expected this, keeping items in the car helped to make the most out of the available space.
On check in and out the staff were friendly. There was a useful video to watch on arrival giving information needed for our stay.
Robes being provided was a pleasant touch, it would have been useful to have had somewhere to dry wet clothes but if we had visited in summer they could have dried outside but this wasn't an option on a wet and windy October weekend.

Great experience for my dads 60th
Dave was a great instructor and made you feel really comfortable as well as advising how to aim, shoot and relax. Me and my sister were both very nervous and he made us feel at ease. My mum also suffers from ailments and Dave was very attentive at making sure she was ok and comfortable. I recommend to anyone looking to try clay pigeon shooting!

Came here for the clay pigeon shooting on a stag do, great day out we all really enjoyed it. Dave made the experience 10 times better, great person to coach you through your first shoots and a legendary bloke. I wish he was my dad.

I took my 12 year old son here today for clay pigeon shooting. I have done a lot of shooting in the past, but wasn't sure how my son would go.
Our instructor, Bryan, was amazing! He made the safety briefing interesting and enjoyable, keeping my son engaged all the way through.
Bryan's practical tuition was fantastic, and he had my son shooting clays in no time. In fact he shot 7 out of 10 in our mini competition!
Bryan really is an asset to this business, we had a great time, and I've got a son who won't stop smiling for a long time!
