The Karni mata temple is one of the most famous temples in BIKANER. Legend says that Mata Karni was a goddess born in human form. And she set up her own race. Also the mice in the temple are known to be her descendants. The mice are non harming , generally small to medium in size. Despite so many mice... More

You will never in your life have an experience like this. Personally, I can barely say the word RAT without getting shivers and jumping so I was not sure if I could do this. I won't say too much about it as when you start talking about lots of rats - it turns people off. They are very controlled and... More

It takes approximately half a hour to go by car from the centre of Bikaner to this temple with holy rats all over the floors.People feed the rats with different kind of food but be careful that you do not tramp and hurt them.....

This place is surreal. You should not miss it when you are in the area! A lot of people come here for worship, and it is a great way to learn more about Hindu religion. As in any other temple you take your shoes off outside. Admission is free, but you pay a small fee for taking your camera in.... More

This temple is located almost 30 km away from Bikaner and it is worth going. Visiting this temple is not only overcoming some kind of fear imposed by society - rats are always seen as nasty and infectious creatures, but also getting to understand its history and culture behind. At times, we merely fear the weird... what we are not... More

First time you hear/read about this temple and you will believe that such a temple do exist. The temple is devoted to Mata Karni, local god of Rajhasthan. There are a lot of rats which will be roaming around here and there eating milk and prasad from vessels. They will even cross your way or run over your feet but... More

For the tourists starting from jaipur it's very convenient to conclude the tour of Bikaner by one day, after completion of the Jaipur tourist attractions in the night catch a train from jaipur railway station to Bikaner, which will reach the Deshnoke station in the early morning and you'll see a very beautiful and sacred ARTI of the temple which...
