Hello, I believe this is the castle my mother worked at as a maid after WW2, when she left Holland in 1945 Her name was Alida Kuis. The butler and cook there were the Whites, (married couple) who lived at The Cross, Pencaitland, and took my mother under their wing, taught her English. We remain close friends with their daughter Roma Johnstone. My mother lived on the top floor servants quarters and said she used to see a black cat sitting on her windowsill and could not figure out how it got there. She said the castle was haunted and woke up screaming all her life dreaming about it. She later immigrated to Calgary Canada. I visited the castle with my mom when I was 2 years old. There was a puffer fish all puffed up under glass on display in the foyer. I was allowed to touch it, which blew my 2 year ild mind. If this is indeed the castle, we would like to reserve 3 rooms for May 15 to 18 2020. It will be me and my husband, my son and his wife, and my sister and her husband. What accomadation would suit 4adults and 1six month old baby

Hi mate, I am trying to organise my brothers stag do in Edinburgh. do you have any suggestions on where you went and what you did? we are looking at a few places and came across here. do you think its a good place to go and would you recommend it?
