You need the whole day to see everything here . Manned by extremely knowledgeable curators who seem to know all there is to know, about all the exhibits. Nice easy journey around the different halls. On arrival, be sure to book yourself in for the lightening flight simulator. It's free and you get some really good tutoring from ex pilots.... More

We came here as a school trip. All the children enjoyed the day. The guides were very informative and engaging. I was not expecting to enjoy the visit as much as I did. A pleasant suprise. Very recommended for all age groups.

This is a great 'old-fashioned' museum run by volunteers - many of them ex-RAF. I was especially interested in the section on SOE as many SOE agents were 'exfiltrated' out of Tangmere. But this is only part of it - and it's brilliant to see so many beautiful and historic aircraft. A fabulous resource for anyone interested in wartime and... More

As I used to live in the area years before it opened I'd always wanted to visit and wasn't disappointed. Volunteers are friendly and happy to chat. Exhibits are interesting and most relate to the role this ex RAF Station played as a major Battle of Britain airfield.

Visited during the recent school holidays. This museum is only a short drive from home but we had never visited. We took our 6yr old daughter. We arrived and the small car park if filled with real aircraft including Harriers and a Sea King - instantly my daughters imagination was in overdrive and the questions started. Once inside we were... More

This must be one of the best military museums in the world. The dedication, not to mention the hard work that has been poured into this amazing place is second to none. Allow at least three hours to tour this wonderful tribute to the men and women of the RAF. Totally run by volunteers, who all love what they do.... More
