Out of the way impressive castle, free to get in which is surprising given how extensive the remains are. Plenty to explore and not usually many people there. Very quiet and atmospheric; well worth seeking out.

The ruins are more impressive than you might imagine from a free entry place, and there are some great views of the beautiful surroundings. Make sure to have a look around the vicinity as well - down the hill there is a scenic spot with...More

What was going to be a quick look took longer than expected. Interesting castle that is worth a visit if you are nearby. Not too bad if you have some walking difficulties.

Enjoyed exploring the ruins, a fabulous little freebie towards the end of our afternoon. If we'd planned better we'd have had our picnic there.

Dispite visiting Narberth every weekend for 10 years we had never visited here which is a shame. It is a lovely example of the past and the history of the area. The width of the stones and the areas left standing are amazing. Well worth...More

If you like castles, visit Llawhaden. Up a little lane and a really excellent example with enough information but your imagination can really run riot.

This was a castle that I had wanted to visit for some time. We got to it on a lovely Sunday Morning and parked about a hundred yards from the entrance. I'm sure we could have parked just outside but there was no one around...More
