This is a small walk through greenery surrounded by history. There are signs which provide details on the structure and a visitors centre with parking at the main entrance. It’s well kept and clean. There is a river running through also that is a delight....More

This really is a wonderful place to walk. Beautiful to see nature reclaiming what was once an industrial area. Lovely old industrial architecture, clear paths, lots of wildlife. Beautifully maintained too. We love walking here all year round.

Spent 15 minutes in the visitor centre and then an hour walking through the parkland and having a look at the remains of the Gunpowder mills. Not much of the original mills remain, so information boards give you an idea of what you are looking...More

I found this place purely by accident but enjoyed every moment of it. The park has a car park which is free and an informative visitor centre showing the history of the Gunpowder Works, a small cafe and toilet facilities. There are signposted walks around...More
