Stand up paddle boarding is incredibly versatile, superb for fitness and so addictive! Here at Stand Up Paddle board UK we pride ourselves in offering a safe, fun and friendly service for all ages. We provide stand up paddle boarding (SUP) lessons on Llangollen's beautiful waterways in an area of outstanding natural beauty, tailoring sessions to you and your group, perfect for families, couples and stag and hen groups. We are proud to be one of the only providers of White Water Stand Up Paddle Boarding in the UK! We also run Archery, which is held at our idyllic countryside location and offer White Water Rafting on Llangollen's SSSI River Dee. Come and experience it for yourselves!

Had a fantastic lesson with Anthony.
Adjusted the pace for me, die to my health issues, and helped me make a great start on this journey with SUP.

Today, my husband, two teenage sons and I were taught how to paddle board by the wonderful Sapphire. Actually, my boys have done it before - just my husband and I were absolute beginners. Sapphire was brilliant. She was encouraging but also challenged my boys who were a bit more confident. We were joined by four ladies who were delightful and we had such a laugh but learnt so much at the same time. I, for one, was super proud of what I’d achieved. Many thanks to Sapphire. Would highly recommend this to anyone.

Warwick gave us great clear guidance throughout and made it a really fun experience for everyone. He has experienced of working with neurodiverse children and helped both my children to focus and get the best out of their time in the session. We chose the beginner session and he gave us the confidence to stand up! We all fell in quite a bit but it was such a giggle. We are all really keen to do it again! Thank you

Absolutely loved it. We are two beginners in our late 50s, and Sapphire was an excellent and extremely patient teacher. Couldn’t recommend it more .

I had the amazing experience of joining Ant, Warwick and Tom for a 3 day white water sup course as part of a 12 person group. I can't compliment them enough for their knowledge, teaching skills, encouragement and enthusiasm for everything water sports based.
Their explanations were clear and they were more than happy to run over things more than once if need be. They easily catered for the wide range of confidence levels between the 12 of us under their tuition and ensured we each had time to learn in a way that suited us. Signs of fantastic coaches.
Safety was paramount to them and its that in part that helped me overcome much of my fears of fast moving water and give the rapids a go. They also never pressured us to do any rapids we didn't want to but the gentle encouragement and confidence building was always there.
To top all that off they are all genuinely great, friendly people!
If you're looking to try white water sup don't look any further. This is the company to book. Great people, stunning location and tonnes of fun.

We booked ourselves and our pet pooch on a 3hr ‘Doggy Paddle Board’ group session. We were the only people so it turned into a ‘private session’. Our instructor was Sapphire. She was simply excellent! Patient, kind and a great teacher. The canal is super clean (unlike Birmingham canals) and pretty shallow. A great place to learn and try the sport out. Our doggy BooBoo loved it too. The equipment is great, great warm wet suits and changing rooms with hot showers. We simply loved our session and have Sapphire to thank for making it so enjoyable. We will definitely be back to do some more and thoroughly recommend this activity to anyone. The weather was lovely as well which made the experience so pleasant.

So much fun! Whilst struggling to overcome social anxiety due to the pandemic this was just the ticket to get outdoors in a safe and supportive environment. Only a small group with safety protocols followed and all outdoors. Relaxing and fun; I didn’t even mind getting wet. Great coach - Kaz! Thanks for the support, tips and fun games; made for an excellent intro to SUP.

This was the one thing my wife and her sister had been looking forward to all week, having done Snowdon , whitewater, gorging , zipwires, karting, this was the biggy they had really been looking forward to.
Meeting up with Ant (Anthony) in the car park as requested we were given the option of changing there and then or nipping off to local changing rooms , having had long journey and toilet breaks required we chose the latter, he couldn’t have been more accommodating. Quick break and change into our wet suits then back to site.
Having arrived back to site and ready to roll Ant gave us a brief overview of boards and gear incase any of us wanted to take up in future (5 mins well spent) before heading off to river.
He was humorous , humble and an all round nice guy , promising anyone who wanted to that he would have them standing on board by end.
He wasn’t wrong and everyone who wanted to went from bum to knees to standing under his amazing tutorlidge. The session was well paced and he didn’t push anyone to do anything, but encouraged those that did to go the extra bit.
The little game session at the end and tricks which he taught the more adventurous ones was a brilliant end to an amazing morning.
And the one thing everyone has been looking forward to has been 100% success
Would thoroughly recommend this , genuinely can’t praise Ant up high enough, one of life’s nice guys and wish him and his family the best.

Brilliant afternoon trying out intro to white water SUP. Fantastic communication leading up to the booking and the activity on the day was brilliant. Partner and I had a great time and the coach made it so much fun. We were both able to challange ourselves as much or as little as we felt comfortable and both came away having had an awesome time. Wouldnt hesitate to rebook or reccomend to friends.

Thanks for a great afternoon our instructor Pete was great and wouldn’t give up on me till I got the hang of it. We were in a group of 6 four of which aged 65-74 so not just an experience for the young. I highly recommend this company

Hi Lauren,
Thanks for messaging. The doggy paddle boarding is £45pp, minimum group of 2 people, and £5 per dog. Private sessions are £79pp and £5 per dog. Sessions are up to 3 hours long.
Included: Paddle boards, paddles, human buoyancy aids, helmets, friendly and knowledgable instruction.
Doggy buoyancy aids are optional, and not included.
