There was many castles in this aera around Mersch, Pettingen Castle is a nice excursion, there are only the walls to see, it is rectangular , the castle is getting in forgetfulness, it's a real pity.

My family and I loved seeing these ruins. They are in the middle of a small town. We loved driving around and seeing the countryside after visiting the ruins.

This castle has not been restored but is still well worth a visit, the ruins are well preserved, a great place to relax and enjoy besides the great photo opportunities, not to be missed

this castle belongs to the "vallé des sept château". It's the only watercastle in Luxembourg (unfortunately there's actually no water surrounding the castle). No fee, ancient history.
