Hadn't climbed outside in twenty five years so decided to spend a day climbing with Brett and Sophie. Had a fantastic day with them on Stanage and would thoroughly recommend their guiding services.

I had an amazing time!
The climbs at Windgather Rocks were perfectly pitched for my level. I had zero experience climbing outdoors and felt like I was in really good hands throughout the whole weekend with Brett and Sophie. I learnt so much and I liked the way that each climb incorporated something new without being completely overwhelming. The climbs got more and more challenging but I never felt out of my depth. The last couple of climbs were really memorable as I felt I was really pushing myself, and there was great satisfaction in making it to the top.
Brett and Sophie were fantastic throughout. Their explanations were very clear and they took the time to answer all the questions I had. They were also very flexible in what we covered and were always happy to go over anything again if need be. Highly recommended!

After following Brett and Sophie on their Youtube channel for months, loving their adventures, following their advice and tips on climbing and improving your core, and just being super impressed with their knowledge and how cool their are, I decided to take my climbing to the next level. And boy, did they deliver!
In just two days of close, personal, careful and detailed instruction, I managed to do what I couldn't do at the gym. EVER. My goal was to work towards learning to trad climb, improve my confidence and technique. Over the two day course, I topped out all 8 routes Brett and Sophie carefully chose, forgot all about my shaky, Elvis leg, and gained a huge, happy smile.
I cannot recommend Brett and Sophie enough. They take their time to understand what it is you need, even before the course itself. During the course, their instruction was attentive, they were always there, slowly and masterfully building your knowledge and confidence. With little, incremental steps, Brett and Sophie presented the building blocks of lead climbing. Safety was paramount, and I felt completely safe the entire time - not only during the climb but all the while being around the crag.
In their calm, relaxed manner, Brett and Sophie are so lovely to spend time with, learn from and no question was too small. I was so inspired to push harder and place my trust in them... and my feet :)

Brett was amazing. Very positive and inspiring to my daughter. Never climbed before. Except for the indoor wall at centre parcs. Porthclais was a beautiful setting and after a fun warm up practice. We progressed to the 'wall' climb with ropes. Again stunning backdrop and great rock to climb. Offering an almost vertical 30'-40' of varying challenges. My daughter and I were also helpfully taught about knot tying and felt safe at all times. Always encouraged by Brett and always kept safe. He provided all the gear required including the proper climbing shoes which helped hugely. We left wanting to come back and do it again. We left feeling like we'd just conquered Everest.
Very enjoyable. Very safe and ideal for any age level of fitness or experience. Can't recommend Rock Up climbing enough. 10/10.

Brett and Sophie were epic. Very calm/chilled, patient,friendly,easy to get on with, great climbers, always happy to explain your questions and teach as much as you want. Also great value. Desperate to go again when brett has a space free! Would recommend without hesitation. Give him a call!

Bret and Sophie were relaxed, calm and always in control, which is of course assuring when doing climbs on the sea cliffs. I'm not a beginner but far, far away from being an expert, and so the thing that I liked the most was how Brett and Sophie challenged me, expertly assessing the dangers all the while, but allowed me to grow as a climber.
I can also state positively that those little things that put people off, not having all the bits, the gear, not knowing the terms the lingo, the grades etc are all happily dealt with by Rock Up climbing, they will tailor make your day regardless of your experience.

We booked a mornings family climbing session with rock up climbing. We (myself, husband and two boys aged 11 and 12) are complete beginners but had an amazing morning climbing sea cliffs. Brett was brilliant, patient and knowledgeable and made the whole experience loads of fun, tailoring it to our needs. Definitely the highlight of our holiday and I would happily recommend rock up climbing to anyone.

Had a fantastic experience with Brett.
Unfortunately my climbing partner had broken her elbow a couple of days before the course so we couldn't do the planned climbing, but Brett couldn't do enough to help, he made it possible for me to do 'mock' leads with some clever rope work!
Had some challenging seconds which certainly pushed me as well.
Brett's knowledge of climbing and the area are second to none. Thank you very much.

Its been a long time since my wife and I had been climbing so, wanting to get back in to it we booked a two day course with Rock Up Climbing
Brett asked us a few questions about what we wanted from the few days and we got straight in to it.
His knowledge of rope work and climbing techniques is unrivalled. He is so knowledgeable yet able to answer all of my questions in an easy to understand way. we felt safe at all times and didn't complain when we kept him out from an early start to a late finish.
such a great instructor, we will be going back soon to further our knowledge!

A great day out on the sea cliffs with Brett. After discussions to see what we wanted out of the day, we were introduced to trad climbing techniques, setting up anchors and rope work. Brett was relaxed and helpful with all the questions and my friend and I both increased in confidence as the day went on. We aim to return sometime.
