Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The resort itself is pretty dead come 21.00 in the evening. There are a couple of bars but that lack of evening places must be deliberate. The resort itself is very, very small so you are really limited in your choices of things to do in the evenings. The skiing is a draw for people learning so the blue runs are overcrowded but the red runs are not too bad and I did some of my best off-piste boarding which was nice. Unfortunately the weather has been so warm in February that the runs where the blues and reds merge or meet became almost impassable as they were not dressed frequently enough. I’m afraid I won’t be coming back.

I returned to ski in this area for the first time in many years staying in a lovely family run hotel ( Beau Regard ) and enjoying the skiing despite mixed weather. What disappointed me was the failure by the operators / local authorities to remedy infrastructure shortcomings . The ski shuttle bus service exists in name only. Few top class ski resorts elsewhere still use ancient pomas and t bars on this scale. When as often happened during my stay a key lift breaks down do not expect any warning signs or any help from the lift operators in assisting your passage home. As for the piste maps they still do not provide the detail which the likes of the Trois Valles manage to do. It remains a confusing area to find your way around especially for first timers. An air of complacency seems to pervade throughout the resort.

Twenty years ago, Morzine and Les Gets were charming towns, full of character with good (for the time) ski facilities. Now, rampant development has turned both into a sprawl of new builds with facilities long past their expiry date. The lifts are slow, the chairs are ancient even by French standards, and it is hard to see how they spend the millions of euros from ski passes. Changes in snow fall and Morzine’s elevation means it’s days are numbered.

Great small city and plenty of choices and restaurants and bars around the resort.
Perfect area for beginners and specially for my kids who are experiencing the first time for ski.
Free shuttle bus around city and the resort.
Would recommend for families.
Evening show at the resort was incredible.

Fabulous resort. Spent four days working & skiing in March. Good quality restaurants are plentiful. Specialist shopping along side the necessary pharmacy, supermarket etc are plentiful in the compact town. Lots of ski hire suppliers available. Prompt gondola service to unlimited ski runs - seemed that way to me! Great party atmosphere on the slopes & lots of catering available. Will return to further investigate.

Caught the last week of the season, friendly resort with nice bars and cafes. Used Javier's for ski hire, very reasonable and the ski passes were decent value. A well set out resort with excellent Bubbles and chair lifts. Would recommend this resort especially for families

I had great week in this resort. The Portes du Soleil area is very big. We tended to ski in Avoriaz and Switzerland. We also skied in Les Gets and some of the other areas in Morzine.

We were lucky with the weather. It was sunny on most of the days. It was a bit bare and icy on some runs but overall the conditions were good.

The only slight issue was that there was a lack of challenging runs and I think the resort is most suited to beginners and intermediate skiers.

This is a resort I would certainly recommend and go back to!

This resort has many runs amongs trees. Absolutely beatifull ! Luckily it was not very busy when I was there (see my pictures). The pistes were very well groomed and the whole experience was very enjoyable compared to nearby Avoriaz which I thought was too busy. The village itself has many shops and restaurants to choose from.

Came here for a few days in February for some skiing. There is no snow what so ever in the town and there is no snow on the runs back down to the town which is a shame. There is snow higher up and you can easily catch loads of snow if you go a few lifts up and the conditions are great. It’s a shame that Morzine is dry and more snow is needed, but it’s not the end of the world. It’s a nice town with plenty of restaurants and good food.

We enjoyed a family holiday in Morzine very much. We booked our apartment privately and flew to Geneva then transferred with Alpybus.
Morzine offers many restaurants and bars, a choice of ski lifts, free bus service, well stocked supermarkets and stunning views in all directions.
There isn't an awful lot for young children not quite old enough to ski however the swimming pool is good and hiring a sledge a worthwhile addition. Pushchairs can also be hired and are more suitable for use in the area than ones we might take with us from UK.
