Very good flea market, but hard to reach on foot

We went to this large flea market on a sunny Sunday, taking tram 1 as suggested in other reviews. This turned out to be a pretty long walk from the flea market. Luckily, after... read more

It is best to go early. The website of Les Puces says that it opens on Saturday. However, the best day to go here is early on Sunday morning. It is awkward to get here by public transport, but it is well worth the visit. Beware that the bus from the metro only runs once per hour on Sundays. The... More

Normally this is not the type of thing I would do, but some friends recommended it and we got some fantastic vintage stuff. This is quite a colourful location full of characters, but we enjoyed it, and then had a reasonably good meal at one of the local cafés.

This remove place will give you the opportunity to walk in many little shops, they all look more or less like antiquarian but some will sell all crap that I can't imagine anybody would buy...I mean who buys a wooden stool 60€ hen it's not even restored. I recommend you go there to try the restaurant in front of the... More

Very artsy, eclectic, good food--worth the jaunt (we took public bus). Easy to barter and many unique household items.

We went to this large flea market on a sunny Sunday, taking tram 1 as suggested in other reviews. This turned out to be a pretty long walk from the flea market. Luckily, after asking someone for directions, he kindly drove us to the market. We had read there were buses which ran close to the flea market, but there... More

As described by other reviewers, there are several ways to get here. I chose the walking option from Part Dieu station and it was totally worth it (less than 3 miles away) as I stumbled on another huge open-air market nearby Wilson square. Les puces du canal is huge - some of the vendors are inside brick-and-mortar buildings, while others... More

A fun way to spend a few hours on a Sunday. Take tram 1 toward the university and get off at the penultimate stop (about a 15 minute ride from Part Dieu). It's about a 10-15 minute walk from there. Walk along Rue Einstein, at roundabout turn right and down to next roundabout, then under the motorway and keep walking... More

This flea market opens to the public on Sundays. The market is a lot of fun. It is best to go early as many stalls close early. It is a good fun place to find souvenirs from another era. It takes about 50 minutes to an hour to get here by metro and bus from downtown Lyon. The last part... More

This is an every Sunday event. Some of the best junk randomly end up here. The only thing better is a vide grenier after grandma has been put in the nursing home.

I enjoyed the market - it has the same quality antiques as Pucces St Ouen in Paris but smaller. The location is a bit doggy but don't let first impressions deter you. I enjoyed finding antique lace, crystals and thimbles. Lots of dinnerware, decorative art, swords, knives and furniture. The antique lover will find something here of their interest. Give... More
