Big Blue Hole, worth to see. A bit scary if you are not a confident swimmer though. If you are up for it you can jump from the cliff. But nice beach.

Beach is excellent around Deans. Take the plunge and snorkel across the blue hole or dive into it. Shallow waters all around it and you can simply relax and soak up the sun and surf.

Deans was cool to see. Jumping off of the cliff was fun even for kids as young as 10. Take some water shoes to climb the rocks to get to the jump off point.

Swimming the blue hole and enjoying the beach is awesome. Saw a guy jump in from the cliff .. We dove around the hole to the deck and swam around the edges

An enjoyable day sight-seeing the island - we stopped at the Blue Hole for a first time experience. We passed the entrance to it from the main road - missed the sign. Road to the site an unpaved adventure - our jeep rental - a...More

Bring snorkel gear to really enjoy this spot. You can also climb up above by taking a trail just to the left of the blue hole. Very picturesque.

What's to say? The deepest undersea sinkhole known to man. It's breathtaking. There's lots of fish. It's safe to swim around. It's beautiful. It's quiet. You can hike a small path up over the rocks overlooking the hole. You can even jump in from there...More

It was not hard to find but it was not as fantastic as I expected. The water was a little cloudy and there was plastic bags floating in the water. There was also a lot of free diving equipment from a recent competition. It has...More

We went to the hole for a quick swim and couple of photos and the place was packed with divers. Nice to see that other people (pro-divers) appreciate the hole!

You'll have to fly to Long Island. There are two airports - Dean's Blue Hole is at the south end of the Island. Stella Maris Airport is the one at the North end and it's at least an hour drive from north end to south end of... More

It is 150 miles from Nassau, so it would use a lot of fuel. Cheaper to fly there and explore Long Island. Check out Bahama Dreamin for somewhere to stay.

You'd need to fly to Deadman's Cay on Long Island with Bahamas Air. Then catch a cab to Dean's Blue Hole. Dean's Blue Hole is on the Bahamas Out-Island ... Long Island.
