Nice time here with a good amount of history about the great king one of the must visit place if you love historical sites in and around Karnataka

Soo much history still intact. Sadly not many people know about the significance and details of the fort. The details of the Jamia Masjid for example where there is a natural clock on the balcony where we can still see the prayer markings. With minor restoration of adding a compass needle on top of it will have a working clock showing accurate prayer time! The tiger print walls inside the mosque which are now showing up as the white paint covered by British is peeling off. I was told archeology department is planning restoration which is a great news. The fort also has water gate and Delhi gate which has some great stories and significance. The prison in the fort also has lot of history to it explains the significance of having it next to river and the man hole to drain the dead. The entrance and the inside walls of fort also still intact which should be restored and made into a museum along with other key parts of fort like ruins of Lal Mahal etc.,
