Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were here with a group of 14 for a stag do.

The couple running it are really great, well humoured and set a nice tone. They take you down to the river and pretty much let you get on with it. Payment is cash only so don't forget to bring some. Plenty of nice riverbanks you could stop at if you've brought food.

The river itself is beautiful. It's pretty relaxed, and you can paddle hard or take your time and drift. Expect a wet bum minimum so bring a change of clothes. We had mixed sun/rain, and to be honest I think as long as it's not too cold i'd enjoy this trip in any weather.

Me, my brother and dad arranged to hire a canoe from here this weekend. The gentlemen was really nice and was very informative, the stretch of river was beautiful and the equipment was easy to use and the canoes comfortable to sit in. We had a great time and would consider bringing all the family along!

We went kayaking for my hen do. A lot of us were nervous but Miles put us at ease and explained everything to us. Off we all went and we all had a fantastic time!! Everyone should give this a go! I would go again in a heartbeat!

A fantastic experience. Great customer service. Phenomenal value. Beautiful scenery. A really fun activity.

We booked this for a group of 9 friends one morning while visiting the area. It is a lovely trip down the river. Very accessible. The equipment is good quality and you are given excellent instruction on how to paddle at the start for any beginners. I throughly recommend this and in fact will hopefully do it myself again one day soon!

Best £20 each I've ever spent. 2 hours on the river with my 12 year old twin boys. They gained in confidence throughout and loved every minute. Some good challenges over several small rapids to keep their attention. Nice for a picnic afterwards too. We'll be back. Thank you !

Such a good day; Miles was so nice and welcoming and told us everything we needed to know. Then we went off alone down the river, lots of fun and very wet when I fell in! When we got to the end he was there to pick us up and take us back to the car. Lots of fun and for any ability! 😊

My partner and I and our two sons went kayaking this week. Our instructor was brilliant. I am very nervous on the water and had been convinced by the family to have a go. I was all for backing out, however, the way in which I was instructed and given time to try the boat out before committing gave me confidence to do it. Had a fantastic time and would recommend anyone unsure like me to go for it. You will not be disappointed.
