Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a lovely beach tucked away in a valley surrounded by the old Tin mine stacks
Well worth finding
Pay as you go car park though make sure you have correct change £5 .60 as the contactless not working
Think you can park in the Unicorn Pub as well if spending some money
Smallish beach at high tide but as tide goes out grab a spot to left of the beach in a little cove .
There is also a mermaid Tidal swim pool to the far left of the beach at high Tide a clamber over some rocks . Or when Tide goes out walk round rocky outcrop and pool tucked in under cliff and a whole new beach opens up when tide is out
Lots to explore
Main beach manned by life guards
There are a few pebbles at the high tide mark but easily walked over bare foot
And some larger stones in amongst the soft sand mostly enjoyed by the kids for building sand and rock castle
There are toilets in the pay car park
A fantastic but very busy ice cream shop
A surf board and wetsuit hire shop
A couple of cafes and the Blue Bar right on the beach front
Fantastic beach
Not to busy
Great surf , safe beach , clean and great views from the cliff walks either side

Large Beach, ideal for picnic, which is tidal for a large area. Plenty of facilities available around the car park, including the coloured toilet block.
