If you love off road running and are looking for a steep climb to burn those legs, this is the one. Pretty much a 4km slog to the top with a number of long steep climbs. The reward is the breathtaking view from the top.

This is a beautiful walk close to Wellington. I gave it an "average" rating, because this walk cannot compete with the great walks. However, it is still worth doing it and you won't regret it. Some pictures of the gorgeous view enclosed.

The climb is worth it great side tracks off to tunnel gully and may morn. Easy access to tunnel gully and maymorn tracks. Great views over Wiararapa- good run on a rainy day. Not recommended on windy day. Very exposed as you near the top.
